Self Portrait Study 1 - 12x16 - Charcoal on paper
This portrait was done on a white piece of paper which was covered with a light layer of charcoal before beginning the drawing. It allowed me to use my eraser to attained the highlighted areas.

day 17

Diana 1 - 11x18.5 - Charcoal on paper
A portrait study from a class. I took a photo of this shortly after starting the piece and it's interesting to look back and see how much it's changed from start to finish.

So here's one of the two "peaches" that my dwarf peach tree gave me this year. It grew to about 1.5" inches in diameter before it fell off the tree and was immortalized in this painting.

day 12

Another sketch, this one done from an interesting photo I came across on the internet. I love drawing faces but you can run out of live models rather quickly. I wish I was bolder about taking strangers photos.
